Dr. Leung Tak Wah graduated from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2005 with First Class Honors. He continued his studies at CUHK, obtaining his Master’s degree in 2007 and his Ph.D. in 2010. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at CUHK and serves as an Honorary Research Associate at the D.C. Lau Research Centre for Chinese Ancient Studies, Associate Dean of General Education, Fellow of Assembly, and Warden of the Bethlehem Hall at United College.

He has received multiple teaching excellence awards from CUHK’s Faculty of Arts and the Department of Chinese Language and Literature and was honored with the CUHK Vice-Chancellor’s Exemplary Teaching Award in 2014. His academic interests include ancient texts from the Pre-Qin and Han dynasties, the history of Chinese historiography, and Ming and Qing classics. He has authored several works, including “Rereading the Classics: From Pre-Qin to the Republic,” “A New Exploration of Xun Yue’s ‘Han Ji’,” and “Study of Miscellaneous School in the Qin, Han, Wei, and Jin Periods: From Huainanzi to Liuzi,” and has published numerous academic papers in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
