Obtained a doctorate in literature from Beijing Language and Culture University, majoring on modern and contemporary literature. Lam’s research focus includes Shen Congwen and Yu Hua’s novels. Lam’s doctoral dissertation critically examines “Yu Hua’s writing style on death and redemption in his fictional works”, in order to understand the dilemma and breakthrough in present-day China. Lam used to be a columnist and enjoys writing in his leisure time. The author of《在現實裡浮上來的一些泡沫》- a collection of short stories.
